Humps.

By now, you've probably seen Alanis Morrisette's video for her version of the Black Eyed Peas' "My Humps." It's pretty funny, but I still think it's riding a wave of "let's recast pop songs as 'real' music to expose some heretofore undiscovered truth about the disposability of pop songs" attitude that isn't very healthy or even true. The message behind this cover version seems to be something like "don't you now see how silly these lyrics are? aren't you ashamed for liking it?" I don't know, that just seems lame.

I thought I had more to say, but when all you've written lately is 60 pages about ESL Writing, your brain gets fried. The rockwrite chops are busted.
