Oh Jonsi you're so fine
Statcounter tells me I have now had over 10,000 hits on this website since it started, which means that I have visited it at least 7,000 times. As Daniel said: "It's cool how on myspace they show you how many times your song has been played, so you can say, "Wow! I've listened to my song twelve times today!"
My favorite search query that landed an internet user from Baton Rouge, LA here: "Is Sigur Ros a Christian band?"
Answer: Strictly speaking, no. But they are to me, just like Stars and Radiohead and the Weakerthans and Superdrag and Weezer and all the bands that manage to transcend the day-to-day with their melodies are. Any band that points to something more does something for me.
Daniel Smith: "Make music about the Creator, by the Creator, for the Creator. Just do it, live it, be it, make it. I plan on making records until I die. Mission, goals... I don't know about that. The result's not up to me. If the Holy Spirit wants to use my stuff to touch people's lives, to set people free... it's on the level of the spirit world and that's a comfort."
I'm not linking to all my articles anymore (on the right hand side of the page), because there are too many -- eight a month (dang) with the T-S and occasional others. I'll link to ones that I think are especially well-done or interesting, but for the others you might have to Google -- sorry.
I'm at a new wi-fi cafe today, 321 Coffee. It is 100 times nicer than my previous "office" but just as cold. I may stick with this one.
