Tell Me...More Of...What's Gonna Be!

The promised continuation of the Christian Hip-Hop post, which has been bouncing around my head for at least a year, was indefinitely postponed by my suffering a brain injury and becoming homeless. (Those are both true, by the way, though to a less severe degree than you might think.)

I do, however, have some tasty tidbits for those of you who've been missing out on the music news.

1. Sufjan's Illinois is out, despite cease-and-desist from DC comix about the Superman dude on the cover. Pitchfork has updates (no new copies will ship until they've reprinted the cover, apparently), and everyone loves the album. I bought it yesterday and yes, it's great. Also, don't forget the Lord God Bird! You can download this beautiful new non-Illinois-related song from NPR.org.
2. John Darnielle on podcasting and how people should, like, not talk.
3. Similarly, Lisa Wood on how DJs should, like, talk quieter. (So true! One thing I love about college radio. Everyone sounds like they just woke up with a hangover. They're practically whispering.)
4. Perhaps most terrifying, this is what I have to look forward to?
